Shiraz from our Mount Barker vineyard. Medium bodied yet delicate style of Shiraz. Violets and bramble on the nose and a palate lush with dark berry fruits.
Optimal Drinking: A delicious wine to drink young for its primary fruit characters. The wine will gain complexity and smoothness with cellaring 5 to 8 years.
Regional Series
2018 Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Distinctive Margaret River regional Cabernet Sauvignon aromas, with rich dark fruit flavours. Soft fruit tannins on the finish.
Optimal Drinking: A delicious wine to drink young for its primary fruit characters. The wine will gain complexity and smoothness with cellaring 5 to 8 years.
Season: The 2018 vintage at Capel Vale Wines was a tremendous vintage resulting in lower yields with exceptional quality fruit and high flavour concentration.
Single Vineyard Series
2017 Whispering Hill Mount Barker Shiraz

This wine displays fleshy berry fruit aromas and flavours complemented by lifted pepper and spice characters typical of Mount Barker. Subtle and careful Maturation in french oak barriques adds more layers of interest to the mid palate, followed by a generous long, soft finish.
Optimal Drinking: A delicious wine to drink young for its primary fruit charcaters. The wine will gain complexity and smoothness with cellaring.
Season: A cool Spring leading up to a warm Summer period. Rainfall occurred in March resulting in slower
ripening conditions. Prior to vintage there wasn’t a period of hot days, instead the cool mornings and
warm days resulted in an excellent vintage for reds.
