This aromatic wine, made from a single clone Riesling grape grown on very low yielding vines, shows layered aromas suggesting talc, lime and floral perfume, followed by a palate with citrus, flint and mineral characters that extends to a long crisp finish.

The Single Vineyard wines represent the ultimate expression of varietal fruit flavour and winemaking excellence from Capel Vale.

Harvested: March 2021
Alc/Vol: 12%
Optimal Drinking: Optimal drinking for fresh fruit driven characters is immediate and careful cellaring will reward with complex, developed characters.
Palate: Citrus, flint and flint characters that extend to a long crisp finish.
The Season: The 2021 vintage at Mount Barker resulted in cooler temperatures during the Spring and Summer Season. We were lucky to avoid disease pressure in our Riesling parcels. Low yielding fruit resulted in elegant flavours and good natural acidity.
